ANGeLiC Project Meeting at University College London

The ANGeLiC project consortium held an in-person meeting at University College London (UCL), East London, on 30 June and 1 July 2026, approximately one year after the project launch.

On the first day, the consortium reviewed progress from the individual laboratories, including both achieved results and current challenges. Members of the Industrial Advisory Board provided valuable feedback, particularly on the future scalability of the results. The day concluded with a tour of UCL’s modern battery laboratories.

Following the General Assembly, Dr Heather Au (Imperial College London) and Dr Alexander Kibler (UCL) delivered presentations on carbon fibres and electrolyte engineering for lithium-sulfur batteries. The subsequent discussion was extensive and productive.

A year into the project, these two days of meetings have provided a clear overview of the current status and next steps.

We would like to thank UCL and Imperial College London for hosting us so wel.

About the ANGeLiC Project – the ANGeLiC project focuses on the development of lithium-sulfur batteries to support next-generation battery technology and advance clean transport solutions across Europe.

From CEMEA, the meeting was attended by Karol Frohlich, Prangya P. Sahoo, and Manish.
